Hi all,
I received a judgement from VCS ltd on 30/09/22 and contacted their litigation sept by email (stated upto 28 days to receive a response) to let them know I wished to pay in full but had no information of how to do so. Given that I wanted to pay and have the Ccj removed from my credit file I found on the Ccj from Northampton that I needed to pay dbc so took a punt and the ref no worked on their website. I paid the judgment in full on 29/09/22. I emailed vcs to advise as still had not heard from them at this stage.
I received nothing at all from dbc between the judgement and today.
fast forward to this afternoon received a visit, bailiff at my door, I sent him the screenshots of the payments and he told me the amount was increased by an additional £900!!! He stated they had wrote to me in 12/9/22 stating I needed to pay by 25th or incur fees. I have not had any correspondence at all.

He has posted a few letters today dated wrong, no name filled in on the paperwork and a high court writ. First I’ve seen or heard of it. Genuinely so worried because of this.
I contacted dbc and they said you’ve paid this in full how can we help? And the bailiff didn’t have a clue I’d paid, said he’d not been informed.
can anyone advise if I have any grounds for appeal? Even just the writ as they did not write to me.
worried sick please help

What a waste of money
Nothing to be worried about writ will be withdrawn
Why did you waste £££2 -
Not sure why you paid this? We wouldn't have.
How much did you pay and how did you check the amount?
Did you receive the court claim and ignore it, or did it go to an old address, and you only found out about the CCJ from a credit check or a follow up letter to the right address?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
