Lost shares in Kenmare resources

I have been trying without luck to track down the shares I have owned in the above company since the 1980s. It was a penny share at the time. And was for the long term. I contacted the company and they passed me onto their registrars, which were of no use to me, as I have no paperwork or share ref number for me to proceed with my enquiry. I feel i am continually jumping through hoops and getting nowhere. Any help out there would be much appreciated.

Just remember, they did a share consolidation in 2016 (200 for 1).
