Gas Energy Monitor

Is there some product/software/ app that I can use to monitor my gas usage?
So is there something that can detect the signal from the Landis + Gyr gas smart meter and send the data to say my smart phone?
I have looked at Bright but this doesn't work for me as the smart meter does not communicate with the DCC.
I had 1st generation smart meters installed some 7 years ago, they were Landis + Gyr models (gas and elec). The elec meter went wrong and was replaced with a Liberty 100. When this happened they removed the Landis + Gyr communication box. So nothing is communicated to the DCC.
So is there something that can detect the signal from the Landis + Gyr gas smart meter and send the data to say my smart phone?

Short answer, No.The gas meter is probably still transmitting data, but without the communications box, it won't be getting through to the DCC. You could intercept the transmission, but the data is encrypted. Without the right hardware, reading this data will be near on impossible.About the only practical solution is to persuade your energy supplier to fit a SMETS2 gas/electricity meter.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
