Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dark, dry and chilly start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was fish, chips/rice/veg. Tonight meals will be disjointed as different things going on so DH will be having LO's from roast I'll be having some sausages from the freezer with veg.
Work was busy and I'm pleased I went in early to assist my colleague as there was things that needed doing which hadn't been ready for yesterday. Colleague and myself got things sorted.
I'm doing the same job today and now I've spent yesterday getting things sorted today should be a better day.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, hope you have a calm day at work.
It's very wet and windy here this morning, was going on the bus but have decided to take the car, too wet to stand at the bus stops!
Wash load last night was put on the airer then in front of the fire overnight - all dry and ready to put away, forgot how useful the stove is.
Hope your DM is feeling better Ruby, she'll feel better having you take her some meals.
Hugs to anyone in need, have a good day, take care. XX12 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.Still dark as yet, I don't know the forecast so who knows how the day will turn out - yesterday was grey and damp.Yesterday we went to I+ea, I'd seen some bags on their site that I thought be good for holding the recycling, I keep a bag in the kitchen for smallish items of recycle, saves going out to the bin all the time. Anyway, we got them, and had a good look round, I bought a small oven roasting tin as well.We called at dd's on the way back to leave an item she'd wanted from Ik*a, and stayed for a coffee. That was it really.I'm going to make a Christmas stocking for our Australian family's cat, I made one for their dog a couple of years ago (at their request) and now they have a cat as well. I made one for dd's dog as well. I know it sounds a bit bizarre, but there you go!We'll go to the quiz tonight, nothing more planned for today.Have a good day everyone, thoughts to any poorly or sad people.Take care folks.13

Morning everyone, and thanks for the start nmlc, I hope you have a good day at work x
I'm in the London office today. Have prepared some food for breakfast and lunch as don't want to pay London prices and also want to try to lose another 1lb or more this week. I'm very close to seeing a number on the scales that I haven't seen since pre-Covid, so fingers-crossed!!
Spoke to DD last night who is doing okay. She is busy with uni as it's her last year, so a good distraction from the romance woes! Thank you for your kind messages x
@Nelski congrats on the house progress. You will be so relieved when it's all sorted x
@RedRuby1231 hope your DMum is on the mend x
Welcome back @-taff we've missed you! But OMG to the car! x
Dinner tonight is SW Szechuan pork with noodles. I'm going to the cinema with my neighbour to see Mrs Harris goes to Paris tonight. DH wasn't keen on seeing it. We did see Don't Worry Darling on Saturday - a bit odd and the ending felt rushed. Great styling though - 50s America.
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy

Morning all, and what a frightful morning it is. Rain battering at the windows and howling wind. It's certainly a day for staying indoors and wrapped up, maybe under the heated throw.Yesterday I enjoyed the drive to Oban and back until the heavy rain started. I collected the jumper I'd ordered and bought eggs and chicken. My cleaner was here so we had a nice chat as I hadn't seen her since before my holiday in August. Later on the first of the new small side tables was delivered. I got it unboxed, unwrapped and upstairs, it'll look good once my new chair is delivered in late November. The second table should come today.I don't have a plan for today except to catch up on the final episode of Inside Man, I'm sure something will come to mind. 😀
Nels - I'm holding my breath here!Coxy - I'd be interested in your view of the film, it sounds interesting.Ruby - I hope your mum is doing better.Happy Tuesday to all.13 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's fine here but felt chilly so I popped the CH on to take the chill off. When I noticed how much the smart meter was clocking up it wasn't on long! Eeek I am dreading the really cold weather!
I had a sudden burst of energy yesterday morning (it didn't last long!) and tackled the top shelves of the cupboards where all the tupper and other assorted freezer containers are kept. I was quite ruthless and a lot got binned so they look a lot tidier now. I hope I don't regret it!
I should really pop down into town this morning as there are odd bits I need to get but it may get postponed until tomorrow. My Tuesday coffee 'n lunch meets with BFF are due to resume next week, I have missed them. We are passing on today as she came back from holiday with a really nasty cough (neg for Covid) so is keeping indoors until it eases.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or fed up. NELS I hope no last minute hitch scuppers the completion. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning
Gers you and me both!!
Dry here but rain is forecast for later. Nothing much planned today bar some frantic nail chewing. I have got a boiler service booked for this morning so that will be a bit of a distraction. The house is still upside down so there's plenty I could do should a wave of motivation pass over me.
Food Ill have a gammon sandwich for lunch then its either takeaway or beans on toast
Have a good day all12 -

Morning all
Dull and overcast here but no rain due, Tuesday is my favourite client day - both of them are up for anything and are really happy people, they are filming a new film in Arundel this week so we are going to pop down to have a look, the high street has been changed back to the 1920's and Olivia Coleman has the staring role, I thought it would be interesting to have a look, we will have a walk around the lake and then come back to make a cake as its Ruperts birthday tomorrow.
Dinner tonight will be something with chicken, I have a jar of tapenade in the cupboard so may do a pasta dish with tapendae and green beans. DW to go on this morning and I have tidied the lounge and kitchen, I will put a wash on after this.
Nels I am keeping everything crossed that all goes well today and that you get to have your takeaway tonight xxxx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning, and what a dull grey morning it is. Perfect for Nels' wave of motivation to attack me too being as I have boxes to unpack and washing to do. My sister went home yesterday so I had a day off with her instead of doing. I don't know what happened to OH when I was away but the house when I got back was more sparkling than I have ever seen. He did the kitchen floor [ quarry tiles, old and dull and stained] with something that made it super shiny, changed the bed sheets, put the electric blanket on, cleaned everything, even the door frames, the light switches etc. I am going away again! He has however, agreed to cat feed for a friend this week but is working lates, so the evening feed is down to me, so thanks for that....[insert quizzical and exasperated smiley] The car is booked in for reapir for the 19th and they'll fetch it and drop off a courtesy car which is nice...Good job I have a dash cam is all I can say. The guys face went a bit white when I told him that I didn't really buy myself anything except food apart from two new saucepans [my weakness] which are double handled and low and wide, low and deep good for stews, risotto's etc. I feela beef stew coming on. nd thanks to this site, I already have wood for the winter but I haven't got round to making the kindling yet so that's a job for this week if the rain holds off.So I've missed, dp1 and coxy's birthdays, so happy birthdays, congrats to your son too coxy, commiserations but you go girls for your daughter..Bella, congrats on your new grandson! Camelot, I hope the little terror can be persuaded about the error of his ways and I second video evidence of intimidation. Ruby, hope that you are being treated now as quickly as possible. And bless your deprived client, it's quite heart wrenching when you can't change someone's home life but you definitely provide a bright spot so good for you. Izzy, good to see you're putting your foot down with a firm hand at work, has she bought the rollers yet? And congrats on the new kitchen and nails B&G, glad the wedding went well, sounds lovely. Marie, hope your leg is continuing to improve, being not mobile sucks. Scarlet, with our two who decided to live here, I checked their chips online and registered them to me so now don't need to have any interaction with old owners. And nanny, coxy, I did buy myself a pair of gardening gloves with extra reinforcing at the fingertips because mine always go on the index and middle fingers too. I think they last slightly longer than normal ones but not by much...Need butchers ones over the top I think TA, congrats to your bff too for finishing treatment. Scarlet, well done on Ikea restraint too! And I've missed an anniversary out but I can't remember who it was, Rosy maybe? so Happy Anniversary to you! And Nels, if you're still reading [!] hope completion goes without any hitches! Take care today!Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...10
