Carpets

Not sure is this is the right board but my carpets would fall out if we turned the house upside down:D

We have a problem with black marks on my DD carpet where blue tack has been trodden in, (from blooming posters all over the wall that always fall down! and then she can;t find the blue tack from it unti it appears trodden in:confused:), we really don't want to replace it yet anyone have any ideas what we could use to try and remove the stains?

Many thanks

PS perhaps i should also ask about how to keep posters on the wall as well:D
We love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!

I have one of those little hand held steamers that does a brilliant job of getting blutack out when it's been trodden in - I just use an old towel to remove the gunge.
