British Gas account switching ?

Just logged onto BG website and can no longer access my account. It just has the type of initial access you get when you're in the middle of a switch, stating you will be required to provide meter readings once switch is complete etc? Also showing new account number.
I'm on hold atm but probs quicker to ask here. Anyone else have this? If so I imagine it's a service wide thing rather than individual.
*got hold on webchat. It is the move to a new platform as described in the replies. Apparently will all be transferred by 14 Oct. Less than ideal timing.

It probably doesnt help you answer the specific question but I can log on to my British gas account fine so its possibly not a service-wide issue.
FWIW, when I logged on to the page there was a message at the bottom that said 'there is a newer version of this page, click here to refresh'
https://energyaccount.britishgas.co.uk/landing
hope this helps

As I understand it, they're gradually migrating customers onto a new system - I first got what you describe almost a month ago and all of my data was missing - no history, no DD set up etc. It said it would take up to 14 days to fully migrate.
I then got an email to say "congratulations, it's all complete". But I'm still seeing (or was yesterday, haven't checked today) the whole new customer thing without any history.1 -
I get that and my DD just went out showing as 'first payment' when I've been with them since my company went bust years ago.Other threads talk of them changing their billing & account management so I've put it down to that1
