Bulb Dubious Electricity Readings
I moved to a new apartment a couple of years ago and signed up for Bulb. They changed my meter to a smart meter, but I started to get suspicious about the energy usage. I live alone in this new apartment as I did in my previous one, and Bulb was reporting double my previous consumption for a similar sized apartment in the same estate (houses built the same way).
Long story short, I started to suspect the meter was either not mine or that I was partially paying for someone else's electricity, or that the meter was faulty. I did a burn test by switching power at the meter and it stopped reading with the power switched off in my flat (rules out that it was someone else's meter, but doesn't rule out me paying part of someone else's electricity).
I went away on vacation for a week with everything in my apartment switched off (including the freezer) but I was apparently still using £3 of electricity a day. I then switched off my meter at the fuse box from the 11PM on Tuesday till 6AM on Thursday, so my consumption should have been 46p for Wednesday (standing charge) but Bulb reported £4.
I challenged Bulb about this, and they said the app may have 'glitched' in the graph stating how much electricity I use, and they they were receiving smart meter readings from my meter as normal. I asked them to confirm what their reading say I used on Wednesday, and they said they can't help me further (by email) and that I should call customer service.
What recourse do I have to force an investigation? As I said, I live alone, and have gone through extreme measures to drive down my usage (turned off central heating and hot water, upgrade all my appliances to the highest energy efficiency ratings I could find. I don't use a kettle. I barely cook) yet, I use twice the electricity of the couple in a flat below mine. I'm pretty convinced there's an error somewhere.

Give us the kWh readings. Not the monetary readings. The kWh readings should be correct. The monetary readings could be wrong on the meter and are not used on the billing.

We need to know what you use. Not what your meter says the cost is.
