BuggletWhat is the name of your tariff? If it is the standard variable tariff then it just means that the new prices are not yet showing on your account, if you are on a fixed tariff then you will want to move to the standard variable tariff...

It hasn’t.
It might be showing you that on a website or app somewhere, but that is not what you will be billed.1 -
That doesn't seem likely as its above the energy price guarantee. I suspect this is what it would have gone through before the EPG didn't exist. Some suppliers released their rates before the Government stepped in. So, this should be superceded with more up-to-date rates.Bugglet said:My supplier is eonnext my economy 7 has gone to 61.48 day night 31.45 help l can't afford this l am all electric no gas. As others have said those rates are likely wrong but you might want to switch supplier as there are much better deals out there with EDF for example. You can find the price for the standard variable rates for Economy 7 from EDF on this published pdf here.

Which supplier's E7 rates will work best for an individual household really does depend on how their usage split works out - EFG was a no-brainer for us because of our heavy night use - for someone closer to an even split though EDF's day rate might bump their costs a fair bit higher than needed.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Very roughly, EDF is better than Octopus for those using 45% or more at night, below that Octopus is cheaper than EDF.There may be some regional variations, so do check the numbers for your specific region, but that pattern is at least a guide...2
