Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dark, dry and chilly start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast chicken, eaten and enjoyed, some LO's for another meal.
Back to work today - another important event going on, so will see what happens with that.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC. Hope work goes ok.Yesterday was a lovely sunny day, I think today has to be the same.We had a quiet day yesterday, DH was in the loft going through some of his hobby stuff, he's going to throw some things out.In a little suitcase he found the bridesmaid's dress that dd had worn for her cousin's wedding over 30 years ago! I don't know what to do with it, she doesn't want it now, I suppose it could go to a charity shop. It's my Book Club morning at the library, and that's all that's planned. Hope everyone is all right and has a good day today - take care folks.11

I meant to say Hi to Flamingo 747, welcome, and keep posting!

Morning All
Dry for now but still dark, not too cold (or maybe I still have a bit of a high temp from the jabs!). I got all the washing dried outside yesterday once the weather cleared up, it was really quite warm for a while.
Scarlet - there's a charity that will take brides and bridesmaids dresses and they turn them into robes for stillborn babies, that's where my wedding dress went. Can't remember the name but I'll look it up.
Welcome Flamingo, good to hear from you.
Yesterday was a bit of a write off with not feeling too good, a good bit better this morning so will plod on with work, hopefully it won't be as busy as the last few weeks. Two weeks to go until half term.
Spoke to both DSs last night so all caught up with their lives, will see DD and the little one later after work.
Hope you all have a happy Monday, take care. XX10 -
Morning folks. It's still dark, suppose that we have to get used to it for a while.Yesterday I did the tip run and bought bird peanuts then topped up the feeders. The odds and sods washing load mostly dried on the line, only the shower mat needed put on the upstairs airer. My plan to hang paintings was scuppered as I need double hooks and only have single ones so I ordered some along with special claw hooks for plasterboard. They'll be here on Wednesday so will get done on Thursday. The SCD result was interesting, it was hard to choose between the two contestants.Today my cleaner is coming and I have to go up to Oban to collect an MS order and post a parcel. Then I'll settle down to the delayed monthly banking.I hope that everyone is doing well and keeping warm. Happy Monday to all.11

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Quite a mild start here so no heating on this morning. And a mild day to follow.
What a debacle with my Te*co delivery yesterday! Three texts giving me delayed times and when it had passed the third promised time with no further texts, and still no delivery, I rang them up. He tried ringing the driver but no answer! I told him to just cancel the order I wasn't prepared to wait any longer. And, yes you've guessed, the delivery finally arrived an hour after the third promised time! Before he had chance to unload the crates I told him not to bother as I had cancelled it. They used to be really reliable until they opened a new distribution centre about a year ago and service has gone downhill. I've had enough so they have been sacked and I shall try another sm! Rant over!
Once I calmed down I did an Iceland order for the basics and that is due this morning. It's just a pity they don't sell everything or I would stick with them. They were a Godsend at the start of Covid when you couldn't get slots elsewhere for neither love nor money.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or fed up. FLAMINGO welcome and stick with us, our happy little band is dwindling again! Hope the MIA are ok. Take care one and all and stay safe xx

Morning all
Looks a bit dull and overcast here today although the sun is supposed to come out later on, I have two ladies coming today one who does not like to do anything at all ! but I am going to try and get her out to a local country centre for people with LD, neither of them can walk far or fast so we can have a gentle stroll around and have a cup of tea in the cafe.
Mum came up yesterday for a roast dinner, she managed to eat about half of it which was good, I sent her home with another dinner for tonight and some sliced meat for tomorrow, we have a roast tonight too which will just need heating through.
Lounge and kitchen have been tidied this morning and dw emptied, I will put a wash on after this which may have to go on the airer.
Nels I hope everything is still on schedule xx
Have good days all xxx9 -

Morning everyone
It got out lovely here yesterday afternoon. I had a little potter in the garden and then read my Sunday Times. Walked down to DDs -she made a lovely roast beef dinner for tea. Played with little one and read some stories, then came back up home when she was ready for bed.
At work all day today so I'll be shattered later no doubt.
Scarlet - you've reminded me that my mam still has my bridesmaid dress I wore for my cousin's wedding when I was 7. My nana made 5 dresses and the bride's dress too. I was the only little one and can remember all the grown up bridesmaids making such a fuss of me.
TA - I thought all Tesco deliveries came from your nearest store - it must depend on where you live. Iceland usually have some good deals but like you I can't get everything I need from there, though ours is quite a small store.
Better get going. Have a good day everyone x10 -
Morning everyone,
A busy weekend for us as it was DD's 21st on Saturday. She came home from uni and went out with BF for dinner then we had a family lunch yesterday. Her and BF broke up last night after 3 years together. I am worried about her being away and not in a good place so will call her later. What timing!
In other news, my epic Scotland hike netted a 3lb weight loss - clearly that is what it takes to shift the podge.
Back to WFH today. House is upside down with our bedroom currently being decorated. Wood flooring starts downstairs next Monday too. We are currently sleeping in DDs room. Took DS2 back to uni last night. A 2 hour round trip took 3 as they shut the motorway on the return journey!
Will be having chicken pesto pasta tonight - just the 2 of us now and it's odd only cooking for 2!
Sorry to hear about the school closure @dp1
Welcome @flamingo747!
Have a good day everyone,
