Today my online account with Shell shows £66, government help credit

    Yes, you will see this for the next few months, then it will be £67 till March 2023.

    My account also shows the £66 credit - although when they emailed me in mid Sept they said:-

    "You’ll automatically receive a discount to your monthly Direct Debit payment. For example, if your monthly Direct Debit is £200, we’ll deduct £66 in October, leaving you £134 to pay."

    That's not what they've done - they took my full direct debit from my bank account.

    I'm fine with that as I will get 4% cashback, but for other who were expecting a lower direct debit it could be a problem.

    Interesting..my DD isn't due until 15th it's £85 .to be honest I'm ok I would rather my DD remain the same..but as you rightly said that's not what they originally said.
