Joint Prepaid / Preloaded Card for monthly shopping?

Hi
I'm not quite sure if what I am looking for exists. My husband and I do not have a joint account after recently finishing an IVA. We both have direct debits coming out of our respective accounts and need a simple way to budget for the month with what we have left. I would like to put that remaining balance on a (debit) card that my husband and I can share and each be able to see our joint balance. I don't want it to be two separate amounts, I just would like us to both be able to access the same pot - is this something that exists and if so, please can anyone recommend one? Any input much appreciated.
Thank you.

A credit card might do what you would like to do as it’s easy to get a second card.
For debit cards, you can’t usually get two cards on a sole account. The obvious answer would be a joint account but this might not work for you. You could look at the Starling Connected card, but that has a limit of £200. Another option might be the free Curve card - you get a second card but only the current account holder can see the balance and all of the transactions. Similar can be achieved with ApplePay or GoogleWallet. Though all these ‘bypass’ options are a bit iffy, as not strictly in accordance with the T&Cs and can lead to your account getting blocked automatically. For example, if two purchases are made at around the same time in different places, the bank’s fraud routines are likely to kick in. Best to stay with officially supported options.1 -
Thanks Daliah. I don't want a credit card or joint bank account at the moment but I will have a look at the card options you mention. Also, I hadn't thought about us both using one at the same time and the problems that could incur, so thank you.0

Would Hyperjar work? I don't think they are FSCS protected though so you wouldn't want to keep too much in it.
