Parking Charge Notice £100 Biscot Mill Luton

The driver recently visited the above pub for a meal with a friend and the keeper received a parking charge notice (PCN) invoice for £100. Sent an appeal to Britannia Parking who issued the PCN. The PCN was issued using photographs of vehicle taken using an APNR or CCTV. No images of the driver or of the Parking signs have been supplied.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with Biscot Mill? And if so, do you have any photographs of the parking space available? As the keeper I live in Kent and really want to travel to Luton to take photographs at the moment?
If anyone else had a similar experience would be grateful for your insight and experience on how matters progressed. Did you pay the invoice or dispute it etc.

Has the driver complained to the pub where they had the meal ?What was the reason for the PCN ?2

You can view the signs (even old images from years ago) on Google Streetview.
Anyway, the driver probably suffered from the hidden VRM keypad trick as sometimes seen at pubs and cinemas.
As you already know from reading NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST at the top of this forum, the detail of the case doesn't matter, all cases are the same and the landowner complaint (not appeal) cancellation route is obviously PLAN A.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The reason for the PCN is stated as "Failed to validate stay or make a valid payment". The bar offers free parking but when the driver asked about parking was advised not to worry as the system was playing up.
Unfortunately, Google streetview and maps does not provide a clear view of the signs.
As far as I am concerned their loss is £0. A customer of Biscot Mill is entitled to park free of charge and in contract terms - if any breach occurred, which is denied, they are entitled to be put in the position they would have been in if the contract was complied with i.e. to receive £0.
Yes made a complaint to landowner this morning. Thanks for the suggestion though.0 -

The bar offers free parking but when the driver asked about parking was advised not to worry as the system was playing up.Pub's fault then, as well as the PPC.
Tell the driver NEVER to accept a landowner saying 'oh it's OK' because ANPR means drivers will always get a PCN.
EVERY driver that day will have got a PCN and the pub should be bombarded by complaints.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Good news, the pub has emailed to say they have cancelled the PCN. I should probably wait for Britannia Parking's confirmation too but in any event I have the landowner's email stating they have cancelled should Britannia Parking keep pursuing.
Thanks to the other contributors and advice on this forum.3 -
Yay, Plan A strikes again!
Please can you add a reply to the SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCs thread that's linked in the NEWBIES thread, and please tell others who to contact at the pub.
