So Oct 1st has arrived and still absolutely nothing at all from SP informing me of what is happening, if anything, to my flexi tariff for electricity (Green Flexi August 2023 M2).
Searching the filtered results they have been updated and are now showing the tariff rates to be roughly in line with the EPG (S/C 42.29p per day, unit rate 34.944p per kWh) however clearly states that the price is guaranteed only until 30 Sep 2022. 😂 I assume (!!) this is a typo..
Still have no specifics on how the tariff will be affected by the EPG such as if the rates will still be reviewed every 3 months. Assuming again (!!) that the rates are fixed for 12 months it works out 3% more expensive than the EPG'd SVT.
It's all very frustrating as I can't make an informed decision on whether or not to switch to the SVT or stick with the flexi tariff given also the chatter that the EPG supplier contracts may only be guaranteed for 3 months, and it's practically impossible to contact SP to get confirmation of the flexi aspect of the tariff and its relation to EPG. Grrr...
