I have two apps which I wish to download onto my tower PC running with Windows 10.
I've looked via Youtube how to do it, looked on google and they talk about safety aspects even using the LD one and Bluestacks.
I don't know enough to judge the safety aspect, can some one help please?

Not all apps will work on emulators.

if you don't understand what you have read a link to it may be useful.
Could run the emulator in a VM to give it some extra protection.0 -
I've googled 'are emulators safe' advice varies from if downloaded on google, 100% safe, on other search's state basically not safe, varying from where you download from and other issues, so totally not sure about them.getmore4less said:if you don't understand what you have read a link to it may be useful.

Problem I have is that I need one app for a medical device, it's important to me.
No NHS help available I'm afraid, so any help from knowledgeable members would be very helpful.
Thanks for any further replies with my request.0 -
It might help if we knew which specific apps you wish you use. I've used bluestacks without any issue.1

If the app needs to connect the medical device, this might not work in an emulator.2

The medical app which I need most is for the 'Agamatrix Diabetes Manager', the meter is called 'Agamatrix Wavesense Jazz.
The other hobby app is called 'Strelok'
Thank you for any help you can give me.0 -

The Google emulator will be "safe" (because they write android and if it wasn't then we have far bigger problems)
The bigger risk is the software you download on it, but since you are downloading software from an MHRA registered supplier that shouldn't be a problem.
However, as said, some apps won't work on an emulator, especially if you are connecting them to an external device. I suspect the meter is Bluetooth? Does your PC have Bluetooth?

No, it's a 2010 Pc, so pretty sure that it does not have Bluetooth.
Does that mean that's it is not possible to download meter results to my Pc?
I do have a 3 year old Samsung pad though.0 -
