I would like to thank E.ON for automatically reducing my DD

Its not often i would say this, but, I would like to thank E.ON for automatically reducing my DD from £100 per month to £30. Now i am only in credit by £130 & my bill is normally around the £90 mark. So i will only be i credit for £70 after next month. Yes in their favour, but a nice thing to automatically do.

  • That's because of the government rebate not because of a change in anything else.

You will still get £100 credited to your account but you are only paying £33 of it.
  • New it was to good to be true. Didn't think this started for a wile.  :/
  • Anyone who isn't happy being in credit should switch to paying by monthly DD for actual usage, checking first if there are any financial implications for doing so.

and be prepared to pay winter bills much higher than summer bills.
  • I'm not sure if you switched to that method, that you'd get a refund, or would the credit get used up, and then you'd start paying.

I'm nearly £700 in credit, with a DD of £84, and usage of £35 to £45 a month. That's ignoring the £67 govt help  Won't be going up tomorrow either, as it's on a fix until 2024. That's electric. Gas is with a different supplier.
  • If you have a credit balance and change to variable DD payment method, the bills will call down against your credit balance until it is gone, and then you will pay each monthly bill by DD as it comes along.
