E.ON is not yet showing EPG prices on their online system. They are still showing the old OFGEM cap.
Don't shake with shock. The bottom prices are correct.2 -

I think QrizB has done a great analysis for you on the comparison between E7 and a single tariff.
Nothing more I can add, other than to agree with QrizB in that unless your sister can shift a lot of her electricity use onto the off-peak tariff, she would be better switching to a single rate.
One final thought. If she plans to stay in the flat for some time and depending on the ownership status, it might be worth considering the installation of modern storage heaters and keeping the E7 tariff. It could well be that there were SH present in the past and some of the required wiring may still be in situ.2 -
Thank you so much for all your help! She is feeling much better about things and is going to sort out moving to the SVT this week. Forgot about referral code from Octopus! Will she need to return her smart meter to Eon and then get a new one from them?QrizB said:WDW2010 said:
That makes sense as she only moved to DD about week and half ago once she got her online account set up. She will ring and check this as well as seeing about the standard rate.QrizB said:
Your sister's prices look to be the cash/cheque prices, not the DD ones.WDW2010 said:This is different to the rates you have mentioned. She also pays by DD.
I think looking at the SVT would be a good idea as like you mentioned once she does put heating on its going to be during the day as she WFH (at least until she gets another job). I am on octopus as is our parents and have always had good service from them so I think she might contact them.If she does switch to Octopus, make sure she has a referall code from you or your parents.Good luck!0 -
Thank you for your help, much appreciated. It is a rental flat so don't think he will change them but she is looking at moving to SVT this week.lohr500 said:I think QrizB has done a great analysis for you on the comparison between E7 and a single tariff.
