Debt recovery firm

Yesterday afternoon i recieved a letter from a debt recovery firm saying u had my paid for parking in a euro carpark back in July. I have not recieved any parking notice for this as I would have actioned it right there and then.
The carpark in question is right next to the cinema I thought it was save to park in there as I know you get free parking while at cinema. But there was nowhere to input my registration or member of staff to ask.
How do i fight this as this debt recovery firm want £155 which is steep and I've not had a parking notice served to me.
Help!!!!

Debt collectors are powerless and can safely be ignored. Do not ignore a letter of/before claim or a court claim though.
Plan A is always to complain to the landowner and your MP. Where did the alleged event occur? It may have cropped up here before.
Is the address correct on your V5C. Don't guess, go and check. This is the most common reason for not getting the original NTK.
Please tell us the full name of the PPC as there are several with the name Euro in it.
Please read the sticky Announcement for NEWBIES that explains the whole sordid process with regards to the unregulated parking industry.

You can always ignore debt demand letters for a private PCN as seen in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread.
Come back here if you get a LBC or court claim. Some never sue. Who is the parking firm?
Is this Scotland or not?
Also -as Fruitcake says above - check the postal address registered on your car logbook, if the DRA letter was the first you knew of this PCN. That's almost always the fault of the keeper for not changing the address of the car V5C.
Obviously no phoning the gits and no paying. Re-read the first post of the NEWBIES thread because PLAN A will see this cancelled - very easy.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
