"a pub in Cornwall using candles instead of putting the lights"I wonder what their insurance provider thinks of that? ie. fire risk.0

I'm sure it's not much more of a risk than roaring open fires; broken glass, scalding from cooked hot food, falling over the furniture when drunk, tripping over dogs lying on the floor...it's a marketing ploy and adult (and those adults responsible for youngsters) are all responsible for their own actions I guess. I thought it was quite a nice idea, but not because it would save any moneyoldagetraveller1 said:"a pub in Cornwall using candles instead of putting the lights"I wonder what their insurance provider thinks of that? ie. fire risk.

Shame about the usual Sam Smiths nonsense0 -
I think an insurance company might call it "Contributory negligence" unless they have changed a lot since my day. All the fleece wraps and gowns people are wearing - probably not in pubs - will not be Fire Safe as they are not sold as nightwear - I think Burns Surgeons will be busy this winter
