Parking ticket Parking Eye help please!

I have had my appeal rejected company Parking Eye and my defence was that the carpark where we stopped provided no lighting and so signs were not visible at 1am. We stopped a very short time during the securing of a dog that had been running on a busy A road for 2 days, that police contacted us as a known voluntary group for securing lost dogs and returning to owners, as they didn't have available recourses. We saved the dog likely preventing a serious RTA. Didn't see any signs - they are only visible in daylight. If I appeal now through POPLA my fine can increase from £60 to £100. Please can anyone advise? Seems so wrong. Thank you.

Your best bet is to get your thread moved to the dedicated parking sub-board.
An email to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com should achieve that.

Then read carefully which stickys deal with your problem.
Remember the rules, Never give the drivers name, never use the phone, everything must be by email, ignore debt collectors but never ignore a letter from the courts.
Please do not come back for advice when your question is answered in other threads. But do come back with your more complicated queries.

When the time does come to defend, I would include that you were acting as an agent of the Police, having been specifically tasked by them. Usually, Police vehicles on active calls are exempt from these PPC scams anyway, and I would try to claim that by extension . A judge might agree.
Also , there is case law that stopping to deal with a vicissitude is not parking.

You will need lots of photos taken in darkness, if you are to win at POPLA. Can you go get some without parking there? Park on street and walk in.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
