Do I need all these free programs, eg. AVG, Spybot, Adaware plus other help needed?

The free versions of Spybot and Adaware are perfectly OK. I've been using the paid for Adaware only because it also gives you Adwatch, which is a 'real time' scanner. The tea timer version of Spybot does the same for free (it wasn't available when I first paid for Adwatch, only cost £7)How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Can I add that I use also Ccleaner after running the above progs, gets rid of some of the trails left when removing spyware and also frees up disk space by removing unwanted temp. files.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I've just downloaded Ccleaner peter_the_piper & it seems a great little program. Under the 'window's tab should everything be ticked??0
