Reduced Ebay Selling Fees question (private seller)

Hi All,
I’ve not sold anything on EBay for years.
A long time ago I’d often receive free listing emails but now I receive 80% off emails instead.
I used to list in auction format for 10 days on a Thursday so it would incorporate 2 weekends, ending on the second Sunday.
Now I’ve noticed that all the recent 80% off emails I receive are always for items listed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, never a Thursday, so I’ve disregarded them waiting for a Thursday listing.
My question is, is this the only offer they do now please?
I don’t know if I should do some 10 day listings on a Thursday and pay full fees or wait in the hope I get an 80% off email on a Friday for the weekend, but that means I’d only do a 7 day listing.

I’m guessing they don’t do 80% off Thursday listings now which would be my ideal offer.
Thanks for reading.

The offers seem to vary, I have a few accounts and get different offers sent to each one.
So, either just wait until you get one you like or just add enough onto the price to cover the fees anyway1 -
These are really the only offers they do now, and yes its always over a weekend. Otherwise, I used to do exactly the same as you!!
However now I just list on the weekend, for 10 days, as auction but add the option for 'Best Offer' - I find most people purchase items on best offer basis now rather than bidding on an auction, hence the auction end day/time isnt really so important any longer......3 -
Just as clarification, listing is always free for a private seller who is standard or above, the offer days only affect the FVFs.Personally I find 10 day auctions do very badly, buyers want things immediately so I never do longer than a 7 day auction , although most of mine are BINs anyway.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I get the FVF 80% offers every fortnight, with only very occasionally my account not qualifying.
Next anticipated offer date is Friday 8th.1 -

Thanks for all your replies.
I’ll wait for the next offer then and list on a Sunday for 7 days.Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

I use 10 day auctions simply to extend the amount of time my item is listed - I always include a 'best offer' option for serious buyers who want the item straight away.0
