Hello. My energy co have emailed me to say they are moving me to a monthly direct debit. I currently pay by variable direct debit every quarter and want to remain on this payment method. Does anyone know, can they force me to move to monthly DD without my permission? TIA.

Yes, they can change the terms by giving you notice.

Probably.
They can't make you move from variable to fixed though (I don't think) only make it a condition of a new tariff.1 -
can they force me to move to monthly DD without my permission? They have their terms. You either agree to them or move to another supplier. By staying, you effectively agree to their terms.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
