Looking for Anecdotal Advice - Balance Transfer Cards Credit Limits

in Credit cards
Was hoping people could share any recent balance transfer applications where the credit limit they were offered was north of £5-8k.
I'm looking to transfer around £8k from an existing credit card whose interest free period is due to end in December (but getting a jump on it due to the market).
My credit file is good, so I'm getting a large number of cards offered to me, but obviously no clue what the credit limit is likely to be.

Santander, Lloyds, Halifax and MBNA show your likelihood of being approved and the credit limit.Have you tried those?1

The same answer as always - it depends.
Barclaycard and Amex have both given me limits of nearly £20k, with Sainsbury's and MBNA not far behind, but the highest Tesco has ever gone is £6.8k. I am obviously not what Tesco particularly wants in a customerI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

It depends.
I have just applied and been accepted for Sainsburys and Tesco 0% low balance transfer fee cards.
I didn't expect to get accepted as my current available credit is approaching 4 times my income although currently used is only around 5% of that available.
Tesco gave me £4500 limit Sainsburys £5500.
Edit.
have just tried and got accepted for a Natwest 0% zero fee balance transfer card despite already having a card with them and having applied for two other cards within two days.
The credit limit of £4900 was indicated before the hard search.
If you don't get the limit you require apply for a second card from another provider providing of course you have no further need for credit in the next 6 months or so.

NatWest gave me the limit during application too but I was most of the way through already
What you get is dependent on many factors so no-one could give you even approximate ideas but anything you get is better than nothing as it will allow you to transfer off some of it at least and use the money saved to pay off the other faster0
