Hi all
I looked to see if there was a similar thread - and can only find an old, (now closed) thread
Might it be helpful if we reviewed where we have stayed? Perhaps putting the name of the park in bold at the top of the post - so is easy for others to find?
I have a few to review if others think this is a good idea

CARMARTHEN BAY (WALES) - PARKDEAN
Pros:-- We upgraded (approx £50) to an extra wide caravan and it was spotlessly clean and the nicest caravan we have stayed in, flat screen TV, sound-bar etc. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc. Would give the caravan a 10 out of 10.
- Open access to the Estuary beach and mudflats
- It is very peaceful relaxing on site, at the time of year we went (late September, children back at school etc) Ideal if you just want to be left alone and relax.
- No contact arrival and departure
- Shop well stocked
- Site is very clean and tidy - looks well looked after - pristine
- There are some brilliant places within driving distance - bird of prey centre, steam train, aberglasney gardens
Cons:-- The access road to the site is a single track road with barely any pulling in points. This causes gridlock havoc.
- It is miles away from anything else - very remote (not sure if this is a pro OR a con to be honest) - but you definitely need a car to stay here or you are marooned on site
- The open beach access is to an Estuary - not the open sea so is a lot of mudflats and when the tide is out, the sea is a longgggg walk away. It feels more like a nature reserve than a beach. Was entirely deserted when we walked along though which was a pro (for us). I wasn't aware that the beach was an Estuary before we went, so was disappointed, but that is my own silly fault for not finding this out
Other:-
Cannot review on the onsite entertainment or other facilities as we did not use them. They have a swimming pool with a slide but again cannot say if it is any good.
Would I visit again?
Probably not - because of the access road gridlock stress, every time we left and returned.
Would stay in the area again, as it is a nice place
With love, POSR0
