Royal Caribbean

I am in the process of adding a card for my royal caribbean cruise purchases at check-in
it is asking the question "Select to convert onboard expenses to my credit card’s local currency using a currency conversion service"
Should i click this or not

    You do not want to do this.  It allows RC to set the exchange rate, for which they will take a cut.  

    Pay in the ship currency (probably US dollars as its RC) and you will get the credit/dedit card provider market rate.

    Current market rate is about $1.07 to the £, Travelex $1.04. 

    "Royal Caribbean will apply a one-time international currency exchange fee of 3% "
  • Cheers - Would it be better to use an American Express Card for onboard purchases then because its american
    and the Starling Card for purchases when ashore in Europe

    Don't use Amex for non-sterling, they will charge fee and/or rate markup, Starling Bank do not.
