My Son has been awarded lcwra.

My question is does the 3 month waiting period start from the date you reported the medical condition and gave fit notes in or does it start from when the UC50 was filled in?

thanks in advance

Provided the fit notes cover the whole period, it starts from when first reported and fit notes sent in.

Be aware that it is a wait of 3 whole assessment periods from the date of the first note, before the LCWRA becomes payable.

So if first fit note was half way through one assessment period, the wait will be longer than 3 months.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

I got my award earlier this year. My first fit note was 26th Feb, WCA was mid May, first payment was 17th June. HTH.
