Dating Site Threats

Replace with new CC, they are going to chargeback one payment I have made. The company 'paidwings' ignored my correspondence in aug 22 when I stopped payment after I deleted and unsubscribed my account. They then carried on accruing premium menbership' arrears without my knowledge, then pass it on to a company called 'Fairmount world' who send threatening emails for payment, I didn't see these as they probably went to spam. 6 months later I got a letter in the post from the next in the chain ' www.auerwittethiel.com' who increase the threats.
The CC company are already aware of both these companies and have advised not to pay any money to them due to previous dealings. They will clawback and contest my original payment to paidwings. They won't contest payment to auerwittel as I paid knowingly, under duress but knowingly ( I can however apply personally for clawback on this).
As an amendum, following paying this a cpl of days ago I have received today a new email from 'Fairmount world' demanding more money. Should I report this to the police?, Can't do it online as no option regarding what is happening.0 -
What's the crime? I doubt your local police will be interested about a company in Germany attempting to recover a (possibly legitimate, at least for all they know) civil debt. If you don't owe the money, just ignore them.As an amendum, following paying this a cpl of days ago I have received today a new email from 'Fairmount world' demanding more money. Unfortunately by paying up you showed that you are gullible, so of course they add you to their sucker list and then they come back for more. Just ignore and block them. What threats are you concerned about?Nickhey1967 said:I received an official letter at my home ADDRESS from this company 2 weeks ago re a site I had joined and believed closed 8 months ago after finding out it was a scam and blocking payment, ( apparently deleting and unsubscribing from them is not cancelling so they kept adding £40 a month plus costs. Any previous emails would have been deleted as they must have gone into spam,
Terrified me by the threats and payment demand. I had 2 days to pay by their deadline date. Foolishly I did. I received another email today saying more charges have accrued due to late payment ( it was paid within the date they gave originally) and demanding instant payment or arrange a payment plan. I contacted my CC fraud team who said as I authorized first payment, can't do anything but they have cancelled my card to stop any possibility of money being taken. Still unsure moving forward. More sleepless nights and stress..No free lunch, and no free laptop

Yup, that's the harsh truth of the matter. They know you're an easy target now, and will continue to contact you for more money. It's a numbers game for them. They will contact 1000s of people, knowing that at least a few will fall for their lies and threats.0 -
Hi, Very curious what the out come was with you dating site continuous payment requests from Fairmount, and threatening e-mails and letters from Auer Witte Thiel, did you ignore them and they stopped sending you payment requests ?

Yes, certainly a zombie thread but as @eskbanker says the real OP often posts, starting new threads and commenting on others' threads quite regularly.
@sheramber, were you confused by @Nickhey1967 who hijacked this post then never returned?0
