Jam jar accounts or similar

Hi, I’m really needing something to help me budget and would love to have something like online piggy banks/jam jars to put money into a space where it will stay until
i need it for example, birthdays, holiday, car emergencies etc. I found something called Barclay PingIt but this isn’t available any more but this would have been perfect!

Is there anything similar out there currently please?

thanks very much 😊

I use the 'Spaces' in my Starling account. I've got about 8 for various different things and I find it easy to use.

I use the pots in my Monzo account for this.

I agree Starling is very good and they've just improved their budgeting functionality although that's not something I've made use of, the "spaces" which is what they call their pots, are very handy though
  • With starling, I love it but you have to move the money from the space back to the main balance before spending.

With Chase, they let you assign the debit card to any account at any time. So I now have pots for birthdays / Xmas / holiday and I simply assign the card to the correct pot before making a purchase and that way it’s easily tracked

Chase only let you assign the debit card to a current account; you can't assign it to a Chase savings account.  They do allow you to have multiple current accounts, but they don't earn any interest, so if your "pots" are current accounts, rather than savings accounts, you will be losing out on 1.5% annual interest on them.
