  • You should hold on and preferably longer than 2 years. You might consider transferring it to another provider. as unfortunately, Wealthify portfolios have not been one of the best performers recently.

    Robo performance: January 2020 - June 2022 | Boring Money

    On the other hand of course, 'Past performance is no guarantee of Future performance'

    Fantastic link.

    Average total growth rate (roughly) in 2.5 years between Jan 2020 and June 2022...

    * Robofunds = +2%
    * S&P500 = +20%

    Different asset allocation means different performance. Past performance is no guide to the future.
  • Even the "adventurous" and high-risk robofunds are only up around +9% on average, way below the roughly +20% of the S&P benchmark.

    Conclusion = robofunds are rubbish.

    Dyor, etc.

    I do not think the S&P 500 is really a fair benchmark for your typical UK investor.
    Over the same period a well known global tracker VWRP was up 13.5%
    VLS 80 was up 8.5%

    In my opinion the link just shows that over the time period there was a big difference in performance between similar funds. It does not show that 'all robo funds are rubbish'

    Quite possibly under different market conditions the results would be different.

    Overall though it does exactly  inspire confidence in Wealthify, Nutmeg and a couple of others.

    Unless said robofund is offering £50 bonus 12 months after investing £50 in a new GI account, or £50 bonus 6 months after transferring £50 from another SIPP into their SIPP.
    loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.
