hi all
i was wondering if someone could answer the following for me please
my electricity supplier is eon next
i am currently paying over a hundred pounds a month by direct debit
at present i am in credit of over £250.00
when the government allowance kicks in in october my direct debit will be reduced to £40.00
my question is will i stil be acruing credit if my usage is less than what i am paying for
the way i see it i should be as the payment from the government is part of my bill
thanks in advance for any answers

    Come October, the new, higher rates will take effect. Even after the £66 rebate (which only lasts six months), I would expect your direct debit will be going up. Highly unlikely you will be paying £40 per month...
    Your supplier should be sending out emails/letters detailing how much you will be paying from next month - Hopefully, the email/letter will arrive sometime this week.

    That is quite a low summer credit for that monthly payment.  Typically around 4-5 times the monthly should be the target around Summer end.   Although your monthly may already be a bit higher to make up for your summer credit shortfall.
