I recently registered to invest and start with Bitcoin. The telephone calls I received I thought were all genuine. I paid my £250.00 investment, got an account opened up with a company called mit-ic.com. Everything sounded perfect. I was assigned a broker who rang me every day since the 14th September when I opened the account and the broker showed me how it all works and how to invest, she was called Emily Corder and was Switzerland based. Their website is easy to follow and you sign into your account. However alarm bells have started ringing because I had to send off my driving licence for id to open the account which like a fool I did think this was genuine but then the next time I tried to log into my account it was asking me to verify by sending a copy of my proof of address which I have not sent nor a copy of any card. I had a heated phone call on Friday about this as she asked me to invest 8000 dollars into the account which I do not have and I said I was told that £250.00 was to open my account and to start trading and that I did not have this amount of money. She then proceeded to ask me how I got the money for the deposit, that "they" could apply for a loan for the 8000 dollars or minimum 4000 dollars to continue trading. I cannot close my account, I cant retrieve my £250.00 either plus the phone calls have ceased and now I am very worried. I have come to the conclusion I will have lost my £250.00 so called investment to some scam. I have emailed the company several times but they do not reply.

Forget it and move on, but be aware that you'll probably be on a suckers' list and so may receive other approaches, either for investment opportunities or those who may offer help to get your money back, so just ensure you ignore all these....6 -
Thank you I will do.
How do you report these companies.0 -
Is there any UK registration for this company?
You're probably better off go ogling the name and 'reviews' and leaving a review so others know to be cautious.
Meanwhile, open an account with coinbase or another reputable exchange and buy some bitcoin if you wish. If you keep your coin in coinbase they have a UK fraud guarantee up to £30k I think.0
