Company in Liquidation

Hello All

Had good help here before, so hoping you might be able to help again.

My wife bought me an experiance voucher (of £100 on a credit card I think). On going to use the voucher, we found the website down and companies house I think lists them as having gone into liquidation. I would expect we have no chance of recovering the money from the comany, but do we have recourse back to the Credit Card company via section 57 or another route?

    When was it bought?

    Chargeback would be best option, depending on when bought etc.

    Remember £100 is under the S75 minimum limit. It has to be over so £100.01

    When was the voucher bought?
    chargeback has time limits.

    Ring bank & start process if you have proof no longer trading.

    Don't let them fob you off with over 120 days, As original purchase was under 540 days & this was a future dated booking.

    If it's for an 'event' then it's from the date of the event. Assuming this voucher was an open invite with a year or so's validity on it, then a chargeback should still be possible.
    I see this as equivalent to a plane ticket booked for travel some months forward: the 120 days only starts from the scheduled 'event'.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
