Top up receipts from a shop.0

They are typically only valid for the point of sale as proof of payment. They can't typically be used for anything else. What is it that you are thinking?1

I took advice off here topped up my metre prior to the first kW hike. Now I cannot top up until it is used but then it rises 17p kW to 53kw. What I was thinking to do was buy a load of top ups now at the 40pkw rate before the next rise 7th Oct and keep the top ups until my current money in my metre is empty. This I reckon won't be until roughly Dec. So that was the reason I asked the question regarding the shop top ups is there any expiration date as they won't be used for 2-3 months from purchase.0

Or if I buy top ups online which is the the way I normally top up our metre. The codes generated can they be kept for 2-3 months before entering them on my top up metre. Just another way of trying to avoid the price hikes a little longer. As the way I see it Liz Truss could tax the ridiculous profits these energy companies stand to make this winter.0

Are you in Northern Ireland? If so, much of what you read here does not directly apply to your situation.0
