How to treat outdoor timber furniture in preparation for winter?

    Shame it's visible at all times. I tried the commercial covers and they were rubbish so I made some from those plasticish tarpaulines, stapled and tied to the furniture via the holes.
    Not pretty but it was lovely uncovering clean furniture that didn't need attention.
    Pots of plants, artificial ivy? Could you be creative? I'd have a look online for ideas. Others have had the same problem. See how they solved it.
