EON Next. - Fixed Tariff and the price Cap.
So, not sure if stupid or not, (probably Stupid!) but i fixed with EON Next up to Aug 2023. It was a 1 year fix done mid August. (SC, 41.328p, 50.687p/KWh).
1) I just noticed on the EON Next account page that my tariff amounts have changed, to 43.39 p/day and 53.22 p/kWh. Anyone have any idea why the fixed rate has gone up?.
2) I'm in the South, and i believe my annual electricity usage with be around 5000 KWh. Should i just cancel my fixed rate? This will i expect get me down to 44.41 and 34.23 p/kWh, (based on the southern rates reported on MSE).

It might be worth asking them if they are refunding customers like Octopus are. for same reason...bolo said:So, not sure if stupid or not, (probably Stupid!) but i fixed with EON Next up to Aug 2023. It was a 1 year fix done mid August. (SC, 41.328p, 50.687p/KWh).

I'm not looking for a refund, its only a month for me... Guess i will just move back to the variable tariff. Just wondering if after 6 months they will put the rates up to over 60p lol....

Below are the EPG costs based on the EDF rates table.
Do you know how much electricity you use at night ?1 -
i don't have a multimeter so have not really looked into day / evening / night rates.
But i do try to turn off stuff at the mains at night, and i am looking to pick up more timer plugs to auto switch things at night.
thinking 15kWh for a family of 4 (2 boys). will see how i can reduce this.If i have helped, use the thanks button!0 -
