New Home
Hi,
I’m just looking for some advice about energy suppliers and hope somebody can help. We are moving into a new home which has two separate supplies for gas and electricity. We run an EV and plan to install a charger soon so just wondering what suppliers would be good to look at for decent off peak charging. Our annual estimated figures are 6,871 kWh for electricity and 18,302 kWh. We are currently with So Energy but I believe as long as we phone the company we have the option of choosing who to go with.
Thanks.

You will need to join whoever supplies the new house at the moment before you switch anywhere.0

To start with you will need to contact whoever currently supplies the new property and give your details and give meter readings. It's a good idea to take pics of the readings in case there are any problems.
Once you've set up the accounts you are then able to look at changing suppliers. Not many are taking on new customers, it seems only Octopus and EDF might take you and then, only if you ring them.
Octopus tend to have the best rates for EVs with their Go tariffs which allow you to charge at cheap rates overnight.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
