Ticket for parking over lines

Hi all
I've had a private ticket for slightly parking over the lines and 'taking up 2 bays'. So annoying because it was for 20-30 mins, and the picture shows that the car park was empty. I know it's not an excuse in their eyes.
I have since gone back to the car park and looked at the signs. There is no mention of parking over lines -- only about overstaying or parking then leaving the complex.
Is the fine enforceable from your experience?
Thanks

It's not a 'fine', it's an invoice chancing that you might pay it!
You're really asking for trouble parking over white lines, and a near-empty car park doesn't give you the reason to be able to do so. It's an irritant to other motorists, and it's that kind of parking that becomes one of the reasons for landowners contracting private parking firms (PPCs) to try to eradicate it.But, the PPC is relying on contract law to snag you, and the contract between you and them is what is showing on the signage in the car park. Do you have photos of the sign, if so, let us see it, if not, it's imperative you take some quality photos yourself as evidence should it come to a court hearing. Let's see photos of the infringement as well. How you deal with this in its initial stages is detailed in the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, first post, including a ready-written first appeal for you to use.Which PPC is pursuing you? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I was advised not to appeal as it is accepting liability -- not sure if this was right or not, probably not.Definitely not! Should this get as far as a court hearing a judge might conclude that had you entered the appeals process you might have avoided the courts having to become involved. Hopefully your 'adviser' will be helping you write any necessary defence? There again, perhaps not!As you are at debt recovery stage, the correct advice is to ignore that. Come back on this thread if you receive a court claim. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Yep, no paying. Just ignore DRPlus because it's too late to appeal.
What about PLAN A in the NEWBIES thread?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Having difficulty figuring out who to send it to though. It is a retail park type place. I was at a Burger King, but the land itself appears to be owned by Legal & General, but is supposedly managed by Savills. Any ideas?0 -
Savills of course.
This is repeatedly said in the SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCS thread linked in the NEWBIES thread near the start. Have you not yet read any of the latest posts there about Savills and other agents happily cancelling for polite people?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
