I had an incident about 2 weeks back, bought 5% beef mince looked fine, next day took out fridge tossed in pan took fork to break it up and brown grey inside.  Ran all the way through.
As for fruit, I find soft fruit ie raspberries or strawberries do not keep as well from Aldi
Just an oxygen thing, hope you didn’t bin it. Smell is the sign as to whether I would of binned it.

Absolutely no way grey mince is for the bin.

I always have this problem with Aldi, I only like to shop once a week and fruit from Asda, Tesco or Morrison will last the week possibly longer but after 3-5 days Aldi fruit is no good.

I can only assume this must be a branch specific problem. A few years ago, I too found that Aldi's fresh produce seemed to have a short life and was of variable quality. I don't find that now, but I am shopping at one of their newer stores, so perhaps that is the reason.
  • I rarely shop at Aldi because you cannot trust the fresh products to be usable when you want them to be - I bought some chicken from my local one a while back to use the same day and when I opened it the chicken was off - with 6 days to go before the date on it - their cooked meats have very short dates on them and a lot of their fruit and veg is poor at best - it could be an area thing as we have about 4 or 5 stores within a 20 minute drive and they are all the same - that said their bread products are usually pretty good
