It doesn't look at you and go, well, they're a normal weight, so I won't bother being horrible to them....It really doesn't matter what weight you are, you're still at risk of getting it, and that's without the worry about how serious it's going to be.7

Yes, but that was not what they said was it?

Well that was how I interpreted "get a hold of you". If you've caught it but you're asymptomatic, it doesn't really "have a hold of you" in any meaningful way.4

I’ve just reread the whole thread to remind myself exactly what was said about covid/weight, and someone’s been deleting posts again. Naughty. Why does Sherlock Holmes love Mexican restaurants? Because they give him case ideas.5

Re the discussion about Covid and "normal" weight - it's a bit off the point of the original starting post of A Few Things I'm Doing To Save Money. Let's get back on track please. Sorry, don't mean to sound like a school marm but I find it frustrating when threads go off piste.Be kind to others and to yourself too.21

I'm cycling to work again, on my electric bicycle. The last few years the Flanders' government have really invested in proper separate cycling lanes, so it's quite safe. We bought cheap electric bicycles from a DIY-store, and my cycling allowance from work is untaxed, which means that the bicycles cost €1,200, and I'm making €900/year. I'm making a profit cycling to work these days!
