I have social anxiety and seeing a therapist do I need to declare this?
I’m seeing them via private medical insurance through work
I already took out insurance, but just thought about that now.(been under 14 days, travelling in October)
I don’t have anxiety, only social anxiety.
And I don’t have any attacks or swearing or anything like that

You answer the questions asked in insurance document. Is there not a question asking if you are having any sort of treatment at the moment or in the past 12 months? I’d say you are, especially if it’s being funded by a medical insurance.0

You need to declare or exclude anything you’re being treated or having tests for, whether funded privately or through the NHS. Phone your insurer and let them know. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I wouldn't think it would put up the premium paid, but they could use that against you should you make a claim and you hadn't told them0

There was but it looked like it was about physical only. Thanks will call them and let them know.
also I did mention mild depression to psychologist but he said I don’t think you have that and to treating me for that either so no need to mention?

You don’t have it, so no.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Also it says in last 2 years so does anything before that need to be decalred?
like I have had threat over 2 years ago but can’t rember if it included mild depression or not also had operation over 15 years ago. Etc
i do not take any tablets0 -
If it specifies they only want about the last two years, that’s all they want to know. The only. time you go further back than that is if they ask a question to say have you ever been treated for…All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

You ultimately have to answer the question asked and different insurers ask different questions. So if your insurer only asks about conditions you've suffered symptoms of, had treatment for or sort medical opinion for in the last 2 years then the operation you had 15 years ago doesnt need to be mentioned if it left you symptom free.
Certainly on the surface the anxiety sounds like something you are both having symptoms of and seeking treatment for and so should be declared. The insurer will advise if there is an AP to cover it, it cannot be covered or its FoC to cover.0
