How Typical am I ?

It doesn't really matter, all you should be interested in is your annual usage (and possibly how that is split throughout the year) and your cost per KWh + your standing charge +VAT @ 5%.
I would suggest we are a fairly typical household (but no gas or oil) using 9,500KW of electricity a year which is far from typical usage.0 -
No idea. Tell us your actual usage and we can tell you.
The 'typical' you most usually hear about is 2900kWh electricity and 12000kWh gas annual consumption.0 -
Here is Ofgem's table from 2019 ("current" was before 2019, "revised" are in effect now):
The oft-quoted "typical household" is a median user of both gas and Profile Class 1 electricity, ie. 12000kWh/yr of gas and 2900kWh/yr of electricity.Table shamelessly copied from @[Deleted User] 's post here.

^What does TDCV stand for in the table above? The figures are obviously annual usage but I can't figure out what the abbreviation actually is.
@Graydog7 as per the first reply, it doesn't really make any difference how 'typical' your use may be. To estimate what your annual bills may be you need an estimate of your annual usage in kWh, combined with the standing charge and unit price data for your tariff. Also, if you use less energy you will both save money and be helping to restrict climate change.

Ofgem used to create personas attached to these percentile values, like for example average gas use for detached house of 23,000kW/h and 6,000kW/h of electricity. Is there updated chart with such personas?0

The OFGEM personas were, brilliantly, not connected directly to these details.Ally_E. said:Ofgem used to create personas attached to these percentile values, like for example average gas use for detached house of 23,000kW/h and 6,000kW/h of electricity. Is there updated chart with such personas?
Are you thinking of the full detailed version:
https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/sites/default/files/docs/2020/05/ofgem_energy_consumer_archetypes_-_final_report_0.pdf
Or the result of the initial 2012 research project:
https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/sites/default/files/docs/2013/06/beyond-average-consumption-summary-doc_updated-june13_0.pdf
They basically decided after these studies that the archetypes meant just as little as (or actually less than) the TDCVs and haven't suggested renewing the studies.0 -
Yeah I prefer that one too, I posted it some weeks back but as usual it's a bit like marmite some it fits some it doesn't, just as unreliable as the 2019 version.Ally_E. said:Ofgem used to create personas attached to these percentile values, like for example average gas use for detached house of 23,000kW/h and 6,000kW/h of electricity. Typical.... there's a can of worms... With the changes in domestic energy production and storage what may seem high or low usage may give the wrong impression. I have 7.1 kWs of solar panels and around the equinoxes there is still plentiful sunshine although the temperature drops. So I switch back on my UFH after its summer hibernation. My house has asked for 7 kWhrs as of 15:00, though I've only imported 2 kWhrs. I've used no gas today, or since the end of May. So my gas usage is massively non typical (which confuses the hell out of Shell even though I've told them plenty of times that I have solar). To others my electrical demand can seem high. So, over the year I import 4552 kWhrs of electricity (27% on E7) and 9000 kWhrs gas. 4 bed detached, 3 adults.0
