Hi,

I've recently had a homebuyers report completed on a roughly 1900s build converted flat, with a share-of-freehold in London.

The flat presents nicely internally and this was noted in the report, however a number of external issues were noted by the surveyor.

The report highlights a few issues that given the age of the building I can overlook and take on as a known risk following the survey. However as the survey did not include external inspection of the roof I'd like to have this done just so I have knowledge of any potential issues that could directly affect my flat below the pitched roof covering.

With this in mind does anyone know what the best way to obtain a roof inspection from a reputable roofer would be?

I've done some cursory searches on checkatrade, but I was wondering if there's any other ways of being able to get a roof inspection in relatively short order to I can have a fuller understanding of potential liabilities I may take on.

In addition what should I expect from. a roof inspection? Is it possible to get photos, or a similar kind of report to the one I received from my surveyor?

Thanks in advance.
