horizon pcn

hello all,

i recently received a pcn from horizon (tesco great yarmouth) it said i have breached their terms and had pictures of the car dashboard as i was parked in a disabled space. (i am disabled) the badge must have fallen on the floor as it wasn't in the picture. they say that the charge is £70 but £30 if paid in 14 days. unfortunately i was away and only got the letter 3 days ago so the 14 day period is over. it says that i only have 28 days to appeal and was dated on the 5th September. does anyone know if this is an enforceable pcn or not or if i should appeal? there is also a letter attached saying to whom it may concern if it helps. thanks for any help as always.

there is also a letter attached saying to whom it may concern.
Can you show that to us please?

Appeal as registered keeper, NOT saying who was driving (IMPORTANT).

But attach a photo of your blue badge and state you were an occupant of the car and maybe the badge slipped (but would still have been visible through the car windows) and you will complain to Tesco about disability discrimination and will involve your MP, if Horizon fail to cancel this PCN.

Remember: no words that imply who parked.

Thanks for that.  Can you see why it's important not to say who was driving in your appeal, and if you firstly try a Tesco complaint to kill it off?

The clue is in the wording in that NTK.

Acronyms and how to complain are both in the NEWBIES thread!

I'd go in and ask the Tesco Store Manager - NOT the person on the CS desk - to cancel it (which the Manager can do on the spot, by email) and if they refuse, appeal as KEEPER, as I explained.

DO NOT HAND TESCO THE ORIGINAL NTK.

Your PCN number is showing. You need to redact all personal data. Parking companies monitor this forum.

Complain to the Store manager and/or CEO, and your MP.

By the way, are you sure a person or persons unknown didn't bounce up and down on your car to deliberately dislodge your blue badge as a jolly jape?
