Hello
I am a new member, and very new to posting on this forum - apologies if this post should be posted elsewhere on the forum.
Can anyone help me with this situation please? I paid a debt of £396 to DCBL on 22 July 2022. As of today, my credit file is still marked with the CCJ as "Active"
Can anyone please help or advise me on what best to do?
Thanks in advance.

- I called DCBL today to ask why the CCJ has not yet come off my credit file - they said its Civil Enforcement who I need to speak to. DCBL just take the money.
- I call Civil Enforcement but only get through to a 24-hour automated payment line. I cannot speak with a person.
- Civil Enforcement do not list any other contact details on their website. No email address, no office phone number, no number for the legal team.
- I call the Registry Trust who say I have to speak to the County Court Business Centre, and that it is my responsibility to notify the County Court Business Centre to have the CCJ marked as satisfied. Normally, larger companies have a process to notify the Court of a debt being settled. In this case it would appear Civil Enforcement/DCBL do not have a process in place. DCBL have taken £396 off me yet say they are not liable to notify the court.
- DCBL, Civil Enforcement have yet to notify the Court that the debt has been settled.
- I call the County Court Business Centre to ask what to do - I am told that I need to contact Civil Enforcement Limited and tell them I have paid DCBL the amount owed.
- The CCBC provide me with the number for the legal team at Civil Enforcement - I try to contact them on 0870 919 5577. Just get an answerphone. I am unable to leave my details on their answerphone as their mailbox is full.
- A company called Regus - who own the building Civil Enforcement operates from in Liverpool, tell me that Civil Enforcement pay for a 'Virtual Office' - there are no people there who man the office. Just the mailbox which is seen to regularly - I am told this is quite common practice for some companies.
- I am going round in circles and still have a CCJ marked as Active on my Credit Report.
Can anyone please help or advise me on what best to do?
Thanks in advance.

Well the first thing you’d need to clear up is when was the CCJ issued?Only a CCJ that is paid in full I believe it’s within 30 days of being awarded is then removed from your credit file if it’s paid any longer then that then it will remain on your file as a satisfied CCJ for 6 years and can take time for this to show on your credit file£2820/£4000 0% 24 months pay £150 HSBC
£2,100/£3000 0% 27 months pay £150 M&S
£3,050/£4000 0% 27 months pay £150 HALI
£2,200/£7250 0% 14 months pay £60 RBS
£990/£2000 28% Zable closed £60

You're probably better off asking in the section under Motoring that's excplicitly to deal with parking tickets.
Did you submit your evidence of settlement to the county court and they've rejected it because you paid the wrong party or was it just a telephone call?0 -

I just want the people I've paid off my debt to, to actually do their part of the bargain, and inform the credit rating people that my debt is satisfied. I'm having a hard time doing this as Civil Enforcement are very....uncontactable.
It feels like it is my responsibility to see to it that it gets marked as satisfied - Civil Enforcement Ltd dont seem to be playing ball here. Thats my gripe.0 -
Can you prove you made the payment?
