Socket Backboxes Back-to-Back

I have two sockets that are literally back-to-back and connected via a stud and nuts. Is this okay/safe?

All cpcs in the property will connect to the MET. There is no reason to isolate them from each other. In fact a cpc can be shared between multiple circuits in complete compliance with the Wiring Regulations (e.g. as is common with steel trunking and conduit systems).
