Electrical Inspection

Options
We had an electrical inspection report on a 4 bed property we are hoping to buy, it requires a bit of work as extension work was half completed, and the electrics were not signed off. Is this quote fair?

New fuseboard
New bonding to gas and water
New smoke alarm x 2
Heat alarm / C02 in kitchen
DIY wiring fixed and fully tested
Building control certificate notification

3/4 days work quote £3500 plus VAT

Would depend on what the highlighted section involves, but does seem a little on the high side. But again your location will have  impact on the price you are paying for the remedials.

How much did you pay for the EICR, and what area do you live in?
