tape to stick glass oven door back into place ??

metal trim was coming away from oven door glass, tried to clean it, but it needs new tape to stick it back in place, any idea what to get?
double sided heat resistant stuff I guess, but googling isn't helping!
TIA

    A photo?
It's hard to believe that the 'trim' was held by some tape originally. And I don't think that any tape will be able to hold it.
I can suggest trying some heat resistant silicone, e.g.
BLACK HIGH TEMPERATURE HT SILICONE ADHESIVE SEALANT 70ml HEAT RESISTANT 300C new

Most silicone sealant is heat resistant upto 300 deg C - please check first, but I have used clear stuff for gluing and oven door glass

Thanks so much, yes, it appears to be a sticky, black tape by the shape of it, but having looked on youtube think I will follow your suggestion. thank you

This trim is on the outside, I'm guessing? So presumably won't get anywhere close to even 150oC?
Anyhoo, StixAll is your friend  It'll almost certainly do the job, and every home should have a tube of it anyways...
I tried to shape some set Stixall using a soldering iron - wouldn't touch it :-(

Yes, its on the outside....will have a look at that stixall, thanks
  • Although quite 'grabby', I'd use tape or clamps to hold it firmly in place whilst it sets. I imagine you'll only want a thin smear on the bonding surfaces?
Try not to have it squeezing out so you'd need to wipe it away - it can be messy (very sticky). If a thin bead does squeeze out, I'd let it set, then run a craft knife blade along it and peel it away.
