    Prize T&Cs:

    18.  Your prize is subject to availability at the discretion of NDL Travel and excludes bank holidays, Valentine’s Day/weekend and school holiday periods, specifically the Christmas holidays, summer holidays, spring and autumn half terms and Easter in both the UK and Costa Rica.

    19.  Prize includes return economy flights, all flight taxes and surcharges as well as one piece of checked baggage per person. A Saturday night stay is a requirement of your ticket. Subject to availability, departure airport used will be the winners nearest international airport that operates flights to Costa Rica. Please note, this may not be your closest airport. Unfortunately, a direct flight cannot be guaranteed. If you don’t hold a UK passport you may need a visa for this destination, and this should be arranged with the appropriate embassy. Although please note the cost of a visa of this kind isn’t included in your prize.

    20.  Due to the current ongoing situation with travel advice in relation to Covid-19, we would advise that you look at all the information available with regards to quarantine, vaccination, and testing requirements of the destination you are travelling to, before selecting your dates. To understand the risks in a country, including the latest COVID restrictions (including for entry), follow FCDO Travel Advice. You can find information online at https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice. It is your responsibility to comply with any Covid-19 checks for entering Costa Rica and upon returning to the UK. NDL Group cannot be held responsible for the winner not having the correct travel documentation, test results, vaccine status or following any COVID-19 regulations.

    21.  UK Passport holders travelling to Costa Rica are required to have a valid ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) from the US Embassy. You can apply for this a minimum of 72 hours prior to travel although we recommend you apply as soon as your travel is confirmed.  Please note that anyone without an ESTA will be deported from the US upon arrival without exception. It is the winner’s responsibility to comply with the ESTA visa requirements of the US. Approval is at the discretion of the US Embassy and NDL Group cannot be held responsible for this being rejected. Should the winner purchase their ESTA through a third party rather than the official site, NDL will only reimburse the actual cost of the ESTA and not any of the fees involved.

    22.  Transfers to the hotel/airport are not private and you may be sharing with other passengers.

    23.  You will be staying in a 4* hotel, sharing a double room with en-suite bathroom on a bed and breakfast basis. If you’d prefer a twin room, we will do what we can to secure this for you, but it cannot be guaranteed.

    24.  Boat tour will last approx. 2.5 hours. This tour is not private and will be shared with other members of the public. For avoidance of doubt this tour doesn’t include transfers to and from the hotel. Subject to availability at time of booking.

    25.  Travel insurance is subject to normal terms of acceptance.  Pre-existing medical conditions may not be covered.  No age restrictions apply.

    26.  Cleaning appointment is subject to availability at time of booking and must be booked in advance.  2-hour cleaning service with two cleaners. Cleaner may use winners cleaning utensils and equipment.  Cleaner will clean for 2 hours.  NDL will use a reputable, insured and established cleaning agency in the winner's local area.  NDL will not be liable for any damages or missing items that may occur because of this prize.  In the unlikely event that this service is not available in the winner’s local area, NDL reserve the right to offer an alternative or equal value.

    27.  All prizes must be claimed and booked by the prize winner within 12 months from the date of our initial correspondence with them.

    28. We will endeavour to transfer the prize money to your bank account within 28 days but are not responsible for any delays. You must provide all necessary details via the method directed within 14 days after the original request to do so otherwise the prize will be forfeited at our discretion.

    29. You must, at your own cost, comply with all necessary checks, and/or tests required for travelling to and from and entering and exiting your travel destination/venue. This includes, but is not limited to, purchasing, organising, undertaking, recording and/or registering any required Covid-19 tests. We will not be responsible for any costs incurred by you in complying with this clause, nor will we purchase, organise, undertake, record and/or register any required Covid-19 tests.

    30. You must comply with all applicable rules, regulations and guidance relating to Covid-19, both in the UK and your travel destination/venue. We are not responsible for your failure to comply with such rules, regulations and guidance.

    31. You acknowledge and agree that, without limitation to the provisions of Clause 12 of the General Terms & Conditions, our ability to fulfil a prize and/or perform any of our obligations under the Promotion Terms and Conditions could be affected by an actual or threatened epidemic, pandemic, disease or quarantine and/or any corresponding governmental action, guidance and/or ruling (including but not limited to any Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office guidance) (collectively ‘Covid Measures’). 

    32. If due to any Covid Measures, we are unable to fulfil a prize or perform any of our other obligations under the Promotion Terms and Conditions, then we shall not be in breach of the Promotion Terms and Conditions.  In accordance with Clause 35 below, in these circumstances, we reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion.

    33.  Any other costs and expenses which are not specifically included in the prize description are excluded and will be the sole responsibility of the winner. By way of example, without limitation.

    34.  The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available except at our sole discretion.

    35.  We reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion.

    37. Your personal data that you provide to us will be collected and processed by us, our licensees (including Communicorp UK Limited) and our Promotion Partner as well as the prize providers, and if applicable, our service providers, network operators and suppliers in order to administer and fulfil the Promotion. Your personal data may also be disclosed to the Phone-paid Services Authority, Ofcom and/or the Advertising Standards Authority at their reasonable request for regulatory purposes, for example, in order to prevent, investigate and detect crime, fraud or anti-social behaviour and comply with law enforcement agencies and applicable advertising codes.
