Managing Facebook groups

I am admin for two FB groups for a charity. One is public and used for our 'shop window' where posts are very business like. The second is a closed group where all volunteers, many who are ladies of a certain age, can 'socialise' , ask questions and chat about what we do. Often 'chat' is posted on the public group in error and waits to be approved. Because it belongs on our private group, I Message the 'offender' and ask that it is posted on the closed group which needs no approval, but find that often this PM is not spotted.
My question is, can I forward the offending post to the closed group without first approving it; or if I do approve it and then share it to the closed group, can I delete it from the public group without it disappearing from the closed group too?
Phew, sorry if that's a bit confusing. Thanks in advance.

AFAIK you can't transfer posts between boards without sharing. But I don't think you can do this from a closed group because otherwise it defeats the point of it being a closed group.Probably better just to either repost it yourself on the private group.People will always do the "wrong" thing no matter what you do, so its a case of having to manage it. Maybe you could turn off posting on the public group.0

It sounds like a Facebook page, rather than a group, might be more suitable for the public-facing side of things.Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com2

People often post questions about Facebook on this forum, presumably because Facebook itself does not offer users any support. In the apparent absence of such support, it surprises me that no Facebook user has started some group or community on Facebook to offer advice on such questions.0

In the apparent absence of such support, it surprises me that no Facebook user has started some group or community on Facebook to offer advice on such questions.https://www.facebook.com/help/ is Facebook support.Unless you're paying them money (for adverts or what not) they're not in the least bit interested in the issues encountered by the great unwashed, that's what https://www.facebook.com/help/165775630241697 is for.Like most support from big online firms, all web based and to heck with support email or even phones. If it doesn't appear in the Help Centre, it can't happen. Seems to be the philosophy.0
