Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dark and dry underfoot. Wash load ready to peg out shortly.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was sausage, beans and chips for the menfolk. I had sausages and rice. Tonight I'm not sure what we'll be eating.
Work was busy yesterday so pleased it's coming to the end of my working week.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.Glad to read that the house clearance is over and done with Nels, that's a weight off your shoulders.Hope you enjoyed your day out Black and Gold.DP1, kittens are so much fun - we are cat lovers and always had a cat/cats. At one point we had 3 - one of our own, one from over the road who moved in, and we took my dad's cat when he died. The one who moved in, well, we tried to discourage her, but her owner was always out,so she was always out, and she started to come in to our house. The other 2 didn't mind her, she was a young cat and not trying to be dominant. The crunch came when one night it was pouring with rain and she was drenched and crying at our door, so we took her in, and that was it. Her owner stopped speaking to us, and I felt bad about it, but he shouldn't have neglected her. That was years ago, and he speaks to us now!.Hope Matthew is doing well, Bella.TA, I've wondered about an air fryer, they seem so popular, my dd and both dils have them.Sorry if I missed anyone, but hope all is well with everyone.Take care folks.9

Hi everyone,
Nelski, phew, that must be a big weight off your mind, well done.
Bella, let us know how Matthew got on at the weigh-in yesterday.
We took Esben to a wildlife park yesterday which also had animatronic dinosaurs. It was a brilliant place and we ended up staying till it closed. There was hardly anyone there because it was out of the school holidays so Esben had a field day in the soft play and the outdoor play areas as well as looking at the dinosaurs and the animals. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely go again. It was 45 minutes away, near Cheshunt but well worth the drive. I managed to keep Esben awake on the drive home so he went to bed at a reasonable time.
the cleaner is coming this morning so I need to have a tidy round. Laura is taking Brian to the airport, he is going to a music festival in France. It is one that he bought tickets for 2 years ago but I still feel a bit cross that he is going when Laura is so pregnant.
Esben has nursery and Steve is supposed to be golfing but he didn't get up with the alarm so we shall see. Esben got me up but then we had a banana related incident (he didn't like that I had started to peel it for him) and he ran back upstairs crying so daddy has him now. Steve's come down and doesn't feel great, combination of cold and booster shot (which was yesterday) I think.
Have a good day.8 -
Morning everyone.Dawn is creeping in, if steel grey skies can be called dawn. Yesterday was not too cold, almost pleasant. The chap up the hill called round for a chat after I gave him the all clear for my sickness. I stayed at home only eating little bits and pieces, just in case but all seems well again.I found out that there's some film production going on here, one field is now filled with huge lorries and assorted other vehicles. Seems that Jodie Comer and Benedict Cumberbatch are staying locally - some things just go over my head!Today I'll do a little shopping, mostly for veggies. The fridge still holds the food I bought last week so it'll do until Sunday. On Monday I'm going down to Glasgow until Friday as the decorators will be working on both bedrooms for three days and I have appointments on Thursday and Friday. I still need to complete my unpacking, then will refill the suitcase with stuff from the bedrooms. As for cats - in about 1964 I won a kitten at a school fair in Hoo where my Mum and I were visiting her friends. This kitten was with me every day until I moved out of the family home, then she stayed with my Dad until she died, aged 20 years. I loved that cat, she was such great fun, aloof and loving at the same time. She gave me such joy. Never had another pet, or wanted one.Nelski - 🎉🎉👏 you've done a great job for your Mum despite your own struggles. You deserve a large libation and a long rest.Hugs to all. Happy Thursday.8

Morning and thanks NMLC. No sunny start today for us but still feeling mild. Rain forecast for later, not had any for a while.
I finally managed my bus ride yesterday along the valley but didn't come home as laden as I was expecting. Bargains seem few and far between these days. Even Home B prices now seem on a par with sm prices.
Tonight I am going to have a "loverly" evening! I am off to the opening night of My Fair Lady at the Alhambra in Bradford. And in the spirit of MSE it's not costing anything! The principal of the DGD's dance school was given complimentary tickets yesterday so DD nabbed 4 for us and the girls. As the seats cost up to around £60, depending on their position in the theatre, we were rather chuffed.
Have a lovely day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies or fed up. Especially the babies and animals. Hope they are on the mend now. Take care all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8 -

Morning everyone
Chilly here this morning - I'm wearing my warm fluffy dressing gown - yes, with little kitten swinging from the belt!
Quiet day yesterday - lots of reading and I managed to get the house dusted and tidied, by doing it in little stages - it looks a lot better. Not having the best week - I have a doctors appointment next week - it will be helpful to talk to her though I know there's not much she can do - the conversation always ends with 'you'll feel better one day!'
I'm going into town early to get my hair cut this morning then I have work at lunchtime.
More lovely photos from eldest DD this morning - she is now at her 4th place for her last 2 nights - a cute little cabin on the edge of the beach - it looks beautiful.
Gers - good news that you're tummy is better. There's filming happening near here soon just over the border into Scotland, wonder if it's the same thing? They were advertising for extras a while back.
Coxy - good luck with your walk and Izzy good luck with weightwatchers.
TA - enjoy the show tonight - even more enjoyable when it's free
Snoozer - sounds like a great day out. There's somewhere similar not too far from us...I'd thought little one would be scared of the dinosaurs when DD took her but she'd loved it.
Well I need to get dressed. Hope everyone has a good day x8 -
Good luck to Coxy and companions. That's a hellava walk.TA - what a treat, I'm sure that you'll all enjoy it enormously.DP1 - sorry that you're still feeling rotten. I hope that 'soon' isn't too far away.Izzy - your work sounds awful and taking things easy isn't an option. You can only do what you can do, no point knocking yourself out.I've created a bit of chaos in my bedroom whilst trying to sort things out unpacking from Oz and packing for Glasgow. And I can't find my wee bag of charging cables and plugs which is very slightly stressing me - they'll be somewhere. EDIT - found them, just were they were supposed to be.6

I met another SL carer and her client yesterday we had a lovely day out and my client said to me on the way back, thank you for an awesome day its been the best day of my lifehis home life is dismal and he really has nothing, there is often not food in the house
Got my private client today which I really enjoy, he is such a happy chap, we will leave work early to go and get some shopping in and I always get him a small bag of sweets which he loves.
Big pup seems fine now, its funny how quickly they recover, we were so worried about her Sunday night.
Might do a chilli for dinner tonight, dd is working late so just OH and I for dinner.
Nels well done on your huge effort, hopefully you can have some rest now and concentrate on yourself for a while xxx
TA have fun tonight xxx
Izzy I have my nails done every three weeks, I find they are growing out by then, its my treat to myself and the varnish she uses keeps my nails strong.
